Calligraphy on Canvas

Japanese Kanji are more than just symbols of meaning. They also capture the movement and the energy of the brush, as well as the breath and the emotion of the calligrapher. You can choose from our pre-prepared designs or request a custom-made Japanese calligraphy to suit your preference. Miho uses Sumi ink and a wooden brush to create each Kanji by hand on a stretched canvas with a 3cm thick wooden frame. The canvas is then coated with a clear lacquer to protect the ink and enhance its appearance.
