Calligraphy Board (Shikishi)

These hand brushed display boards are called Shikishi. They are made from high quality Gasen Japanese paper laminated to a hardboard backing with a gold border. Traditionally used for Sumi e ink paintings, Haiku poems, calligraphy, and watercolour paintings.
